HUMANA & VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS POST 2702 ARE UNITING TO COMBAT HUNGER One in eight people are experiencing food insecurities right now and one in four Veterans are also affected by this. 17 Veterans commit suicide each day. No one should have to experience or endure these insecurities. We appreciate your Call to Action "Uniting to Combat Hunger 2022" in the Community. October 8th we will be Uniting with VFW post 5162, Humana, and Bullet & Barrel. at the Bullet & Barrel Shooting Facility for a FUNdraising activity. Buddy Poppies

Buddy Poppies are assembled by disabled and needy veterans in VA Hospitals. The VFW Buddy Poppy program provides compensation to the veterans who assemble the poppies, provides financial assistance in maintaining state and national veterans' rehabilitation and service programs and partially supports the VFW National Home For Children

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! Join our post and support your local community and Veterans. Or, if you know someone who is in need or could use some help please share our post information and points of contacts. Currently our Post Service Officer is Samuel Curatola. His POC information is 405-408-4764. But we are all family and here to help. If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.
